Each year, Asian Pop Radio gets behind the Indonesian Film Festival along with other local film festivals such as the Japanese Film Festival and The Korean Film Festival (KOFFIA). We do this because we feel that diversity isn't important just in the music world, but also on the big screen and over the years we have all benefited from seeing some great Asian film on the big screen and in our own backyard!
This year, the Indonesian Film Festival makes its triumphant return back for its 13th time and Asian Pop Radio is pleased to be an official media partner. In the lead up to the annual event we will again be interviewing the event organizers on our podcast feed and 24/7 stream, bringing you news of the festival on asianpopradio.com and via our news updates on our radio station as well as previewing each of the films that will be part of this years line-up. We may even have a chance shout you a double pass to a session or two, so keep your eyes and ears locked on our platforms!
Perspective is a crucial determinant of life. It is that dynamic notion which guides our decision-making abilities; one’s choice to get out of bed instead of snoozing along, for example, is a product of what entails that belief. Perspective is also that thin red line between happiness and sadness; how you see whether a glass is half full or half empty speaks volumes about your outlook. But most of all, perspective is power. It can either drive you towards success or fail you. That being said, you are in control.
The 13th Indonesian film festival’s Short Film Competition encourages emerging filmmakers worldwide to experiment and create an intriguing visual narrative that is unique to their own. Hence why this year’s theme of Perspective is unreservedly open to interpretation. What we want is your perspective. So, if you are keen on expressing your creativity and challenging your cinematography skills, feel free to join this competition and get the chance to win the prize of AUD $1000 cash and more! You never know where your perspective can take you. Submissions are open now!
