On the night of Monday 27 November at AMPED nightclub in Brisbane, one of Thailand's hottest stars came to the Australian city to grace Brisbane fans with his presence. His name is Peck Palitchoke. Peck also know as the Kangaroo mask (Nah gark Jingjo in Thai) joined with the Brisbane Thai community and put on a fantastic show for his many adoring fans. The hard-working organizers "Thai cultural events management" did everything to put this show into motion.
Our Thai pop obsessed man Paul was at the event covering the experience of Peck in the flesh from start to finish. Granted a little nervous and just a little bit star-struck, Paul got a chance to sit down with Peck over dinner to chat about his life and work in the Thai pop music industry. Check out the interview below and scroll a little further to read up on the concert itself.

The concert itself:
On the evening of the show, a lot of fans known as "Nuches" gathered and waited hours before the superstar arrived. Prior to the showcase commencing, a local Thai band went up on to the stage and entertained fans eagerly awaiting the man of the hour, by singing a few of Peck's recent songs and also invited his followers to participate in a range of fun activities to win prizes.
As the evening grew into the later hours of the night, one of the evenings supporters made their way to the stage to announce the winners of the many prizes they had in store by calling out random ticket numbers. Those who were lucky enough to get called out won themselves some big prizes including a return flight airfare plane ticket from Brisbane to Bangkok.
Finally it was time for the star himself to show up. Peck came out via a glorious pathway and his fans stood on the sideways reaching for him whilst screaming his name. He went onto the stage and put on a great show for all in attendance. Unlike many pop stars of his stature, Peck took the opportunity to head down to the floor to sing with his fans, showing that he is truly a man of the people. It is plain to see why so many love him and the work he produces.
As the night came to an end Peck took a selfie with all attendees of the nighclub and said his goodbyes, but we're all hopeful that it wont be for too long and that he will be back again in 2018, we can only hope! Asian Pop Radio is immensely thankful for taking part in the event and we thank Bonnie and the crew for having us.
