Recently, Andrew Fung of the popular Youtube duo 'The Fung Bros' as well as video editor and now contributor to the channel AB, dropped into the Asian Pop Radio studios to chat about their work. Interviewed by Asian Pop Radio presenter Michael 'M-Ho' Houghton, the pair spoke about the channels conception back in 2011, some of their eventful moments over the cause of their working together and reflected on some of their most viewed video uploads and why they are so popular today.
In the in-depth interview, M-Ho asks the pair about their recent ‘FUNG BROS 2017 WORLD TOUR’ (they visited Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Jakarta before ending up in Melbourne), how they think Asian culture has contributed to American culture more broadly and discussed what we can expect from their YouTube channel in 2018.
Boasting an already extensive resume’, The Chinese-American duo of Andrew & David Fung (and co,) have been pumping out their own unique brand of content on their YouTube channel ‘FUNG BROS.’ since 2011, focusing on Asian (World) Culture, Urban Lifestyle, sports & especially their love of food. Reaching the sacred 1 Million subscriber mark on YouTube in 2015, the duo have also filmed music videos, appeared in television shows, been featured in multiple news papers / websites articles & have been given the opportunities to interview celebrities & sports stars.
The popular team played down their successes, proving that they are the down to earth guys we expected them to be in the flesh. Whilst they appreciate and value the success they have experienced with some of those earlier videos that the public most know them for, they explain that their not in it for the views. Listening to the interview below, you get the feeling that to these guys, success is a two way street, they don't want to experience it on their own, they want to bring others along for the ride.
