pop!SUGAR, the duo that brought us the sweet tune 'Taste The Rainbow' earlier this year are back with a hot new track 'Take Me To Mars' and we think it's even better than their debut. Here at Asian Pop Radio, we're all about supporting the new guy, there are so many independent musicians out there working hard behind the scene to integrate the pop scene and its quiet a challenge. These guys have that potential, we think they have something unique to offer and we wait in anticipation to see whats going to happen for them next.
A conceptual electronic pop music act based around sugar-rush inspired adrenalin, pop!SUGAR made its debut in September with the single, Taste The Rainbow together with a lyric video on their Youtube channel. Evident from the title and album art of the debut single, Taste The Rainbow was a song inspired by the multicolored candy known as Skittles. Can you take a guess at the running theme here?
Despite being the new kids on the block, pop!SUGAR signals an able and versatile group set to join the top rung in the contemporary pop music space. Charged with waves of suave glitches, electronic & ethnic elements, their production marries these components harmoniously with plenty of energy to spare.
Take Me To Mars is a song inspired by the popular chocolate bar known as Mars. The narrative of Take Me To Mars tells a story of two individuals struggling through a long distance relationship and one party’s determination to be with the other.
We wonder what the next song will be about? The MUST stick with the running theme right? Perhaps a summer tune about Starburst? Perhaps a love song centred around a 'Picnic'? Maybe its time for a trip down under and a storyline about one of Aussie favorites the Caramello Koala?
Tune in to Asian Pop Radio from today to hear the track, vote for it in our Top 10 Countdown and remember to share this post with your friends on your socials to support this new independant musical outfit.
