Made up of Seth Chiam on vocals and guitar, Angus Sham on keys and guitar, Nathan Huang on guitar, Japtheth Ng synth and bass and Dominic Goh on drums, Singaporean alternative-rock band, Cadence have what it takes to gain a wide appeal.
Cadence has released their new single, ‘Fugitives’. The single is available on all digital platforms, accompanied by a music video which you can check out further below. This will be the band’s first single since their debut EP ‘Heights’ two years ago.
’Fugitives’ explores the notion of catalytic relationships and partnerships. Lead singer, Seth tributes the song to “that one person with whom you share mutual inspiration - whether it’s for a healthy collaboration, or in the case of the song, something more illicit.”
Backed by a syncopated rhythmic groove, ‘Fugitives’ serves as an introductory piece to a new set of tunes from the rock-outfit. “We’re constantly trying to explore and introduce new elements in our music to accurately portray the emotions of we’ve been through in our personal lives and as a band,” said the band’s bassist, Japheth.
The accompanying music video for ‘Fugitives’ is also Cadence’s first official music video. Produced and directed by Thievves Productions, the video premiered on Cadence’s official YouTube channel on September 29 and has gotten heads turning. With ‘Fugitives’ in place on all digital platforms, the quintet is looking to release another single before releasing their second EP in 2018 and speak to Asian Pop Radio's Jay John and Jhube in this podcast interview to discuss where the group is heading towards the end of the year and into 2018.
