One of Thailand's hottest pop stars "Peck Palit" also known by his full name "Palitchoke Ayanaputra" will be touring Australia in 3 cities in a weeks time. The hugely popular performer will be heading south to Melbourne on Friday 24 November, Sydney on Sunday 26 November and Brisbane on Monday 27 November for an Australian showcase.
We must say, there are fewer Thai pop musicians that we have promoted on Asian Pop Radio that have had heads turning like this man. When we posted news of the artist coming to town on our Facebook page 1.2 thousand people like it and re-shared it 165+ times. So what makes him so popular? Well, for one he is hugely talented, secondly, his voice speaks for itself, literally.
Fun fact, Peck Palit lived in Australia for 7 years during his childhood, attending 'Cabramatta Public School' in Australia for kindergarten and elementary school for 7 years before moving back to Bangkok. After Palitchoke moved back to Thailand, he entered the entertainment industry as a trainee under leading record label GMM Grammy. During the training, he was also well known as a TV host for children's network program Disney Club.
In 2002, Palitchoke became a member of a boy band named 'G-BOYZ', under GMM Grammy with two other band members. The trio covered two songs called "Smile Smile" and "Don't know who to pick" however, they disbanded before they release any single of their own. Training for Peck wasn't all that dissimilar to that of any Kpop musician you may know, it took him six to seven years to work his way up to his first solo single, "Mai me kai roo" ('Nobody Knows' in English) In 2005, he the released his first album called 'One Palitchoke'.

In 2007, Palitchoke released a single “Adulterer in the Heart" as a part of 'One Man Story' #2: Love Passion and second soloist album called I’m IN LOVE. The following year, Palitchoke and two other singers came together to form a trio band "Peck-Aof-Ice" and released an album of the same name. The album featured the popular song "Just someone who called the wrong number" as well as Peck's solo track "If you don't love, don't give me hope" in the album.
In 2011, Palitchoke released an album, 'Let’s Move' then three years later In 2014, Palitchoke joined as a coach/trainer on the kids reality competition television series 'The Trainer'; and he appeared on the fifth season.
Travelling forward to this year and Thai musician is one of the contestants of 'The Mask Singer Thailand' (Season 1) and performed under the kangaroo mask, eventually becoming the winner of Group D on the program. It is because of the Kangaroo mask that made him very popular again and through the competition he has gained many new fans, who make up the fandom called "Nuches". Following the success of the program Peck released a new single "โทษที่เอาแต่ใจ (Sorry)" on July 10, 2017 under White Music / GMM Grammy.
