Recently we were honored to have Stan and Dominic of busking group Acoustic Holiday drop into the Asian Pop Radio studios to discuss their music, growing up in Korea and they shared some of the constant difficulties that are associated with busking on the streets of Melbourne. We're always blown away when we hear about the outrageous behavior of some people in the community and how buskers like Stan and Dominic are often treated, though thankfully most members of our society treat buskers with respect and share admiration for their craft there are a select few that some times disrupt, treat musicians with disrespect and even steal from them. Yes, the boys are certainly not the first group we have interviewed that have told us that people often steal their hard earned coinage when performing live on the streets.
During the interview (which I must add, they prepared for unlike anyone we have interviewed before), the guys discussed in detail the differences between busking in Seoul and here in Melbourne, places they still would love to perform in and how they got to working with each other. Listen to our podcast via the link below and remember to support the guys by following them on social media, liking their work and hopefully shooting them a few coins the next time you see them on the streets of Melbourne.
