Forget everything you know. You've never seen an act like this. So unpredictable, yet so relatable. So diverse, yet so undivided. YETI PACK. An alternative Hip-Hop/Rap quartet who certainly aren't cut from the same cloth but somehow interweave their styles to create bopping tunes with killer bars that both awe and amuse.
Introducing 'Broke AF'. The song follows the comedic story of 3 guys dealing with their problems, mostly of the female kind, that arise from not having sufficient money. Majority of people are under the impression that rappers are more often than not extremely rich but that isn’t true. YETI PACK and J.SON play on how rappers are often seen dining at fancy restaurants and shopping at designer boutiques. “We wrote this song to deviate from the regular, overused braggadocio of modern-day trap/drill music. Our producer suggested we let loose, take ourselves a little less seriously, write a banger that the fans could laugh at and vibe to at the same time. Art is supposed to be fun.” YETI PACK explain.
YETI PACK are playing on Asian Pop Radio - streaming Asia-wide hits 24/7. Listen here.
J.SON: “This whole song came about when I decided to make a beat for fun while waiting for Afro Junior and YELLO to arrive at the studio. The moment they reached, I played the beat for them and they vibed to it straight away. We decided on “Broke AF” to be the concept as at that point in time, every one of us was broke and we wanted to speak on the funny situations that could happen from having no money.”

Here's more on the PACK!
YETI PACK ARE:
AFRO JUNIOR - Benjamin Obaje
YELLO - Alexander Camden
RVND - Arvind Jay
RUSH MARTINES - Russell Ho
J.SON - Jason Gelchen
Ben Obaje - Asian , African. Triple A . Coincidence? Afro Junior did not grow up with the ordinary and it is manifested through his tracks. A touch of different elements from every genre, Afro Junior accepts challenges to produce a different sound/vibe/emotion through his music. A painting viewed differently at different positions yet still enriched at any position you stand in. Coated with commercial music, Afro Junior not only aims for fame but to be a voice in his generation. Inspired by J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Blu. Afro Junior aims to seat at the table with the legends he grew up with. It is only a matter of time.
Alexander Camden - Having dropped out of high school thrice, he decided to focus on music after a friend who was dating a producer at that time, introduced them to each other. Debuting in 2017 with "Green Cap", YELLO rhapsodizes about the sordid consequences of drug abuse, falling for the wrong people and inner self conflict. Think Jonathan-Davis-of-Korn-type issues mixed with occasional Juicy J-esque humor and a pre-dubstep Sonny Moore steeped in emotional honesty combined with a vast pop culture lexicon.
Arvind Jay - Neon lights. Thundering beats. Energizing synths. And.. Hip-hop? Having grown up heavily influenced by science-fiction, RVND merges old-school synthwave and new-age hip-hop. With his existential and introspective lyrics over epic beats, his songs could very well be film soundtracks. When he’s on a YETI PACK song, RVND still effuses a cool flow, leaving you with double entendres for days.
Rush, the band’s resident heartbreaker, takes the alluring moniker "Rush Martines”. He is all about the sensuality of music and you're bound to start dancing once you hear his lush lyrics or provocative beats. Rush gives in to more than one temptation though, he isn’t afraid to tap in into his emotional side. Rush also reels in a past heavily in Punk Rock Alternative. Rush being a drummer and a Raggaeton dancer himself, offers a stint on Hip Hop has never heard before. His main influences include the subtlety of Big Sean, the meanings of Logic to the hard hitting drums of Sum 41 and the winey vibe of Don Omar & Daddy Yankee.
Jason Gelchen is a producer and songwriter from Singapore who creates an array of beats and music influenced by R&B, Hiphop and Pop music. His songs typically feature 808 bass lines with trap-inspired drums over vocal melodies and pluck synthesizers. Not new to the Singapore music scene, J.SON has produced with and for many other top Singaporean acts like Jasmine Sokko & Gentle Bones. Looking to put a face to his sound, J.SON debuts in 2018 with the R&B single “TIME” featuring the rapper Axel Brizzy and singer/songwriters Of Methodist & ABBEY
